Alicia Woodberry
Soprano
Soprano Alicia Woodberry, praised as “an insightful musician and a captivating performer,” began her season as Gertrude in Hansel und Gretel with Shakespeare Opera Theatre and concludes it as a Cedar Rapids Opera Young Artist.
Recent roles include First Lady in Die Zauberflöte (Alexandria Summer Nights), Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi (Genesius Guild), and La prima sorella cercatrice in Suor Angelica (Peabody Opera Theatre). In 2023, she secured 2nd place at the NATS Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition. In addition to joining Annapolis Opera and Maryland Lyric Opera in 2022, she made her film debut in Lily by Garth Baxter.
Woodberry holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. She performs and teaches in Washington, DC while studying with soprano Elizabeth Daniels.
