Tenor Carl Rosenthal has spent the last two seasons in residence with Dayton
Opera, where he appeared in Sweeney Todd (Pirelli), Das Rheingold (Froh), Amahl and the Night Visitors (King Kaspar), and in Handel’s Messiah (Tenor Soloist) with the Dayton Philharmonic.
Other career highlights include La Traviata (Alfredo), Carmen (Don José), La Rondine (Ruggero), Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio), Die Zauberflöte (Tamino), Die Fledermaus (Alfred), and Bernstein’s MASS (Celebrant).
Upcoming engagements include Tosca (Spoletta) with Dayton Opera and Roméo et Juliette (Roméo) with MIOpera.
Originally from Arlington, Virginia, Rosenthal holds a Master of Music from
Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
