Nysio Poulakos

Nysio Poulakos is excited to make his company debut with Cedar Rapids Opera as a Smith Young Artist. A native of Iowa City, he is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Nysio has performed the role of Man #3 and served as the cover for Monty Navarro in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder as a Festival Artist with Opera Saratoga. His additional roles include Mercurio in La Calisto, Snibblesworth in The Classical Style, Adolfo Pirelli in Sweeney Todd, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, Dan Leno in Elizabeth Cree, and more.
