Patrick Starke

New York native, Patrick Starke, joins Cedar Rapids Opera, where he will cover the role of Spoletta in Tosca. Recent stage credits include Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Opera Idaho), Peter Quint in Britten's The Turn of the Screw, Alfredo (cover) in Verdi's La Traviata,
José in Bizet's Carmen (Janiec Opera Company), Father Grenville (cover) in Heggie's Dead Man Walking, Camille (cover) and Saint Brioche in Léhar's The Merry Widow (Opera Idaho).
Upcoming engagements include work with Boston Opera Collaborative, Knoxville Opera, and Central City Opera.
As an avid soloist, Patrick can frequently be heard on the concert stage. He has recently performed as the tenor soloist in Bach's Mass in B Minor with the Boise Baroque Orchestra and Critical Mass Vocal Artists, Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde with Cøda Ensemble, Orff’s Carmina Burana with Symphony Pro Musica, and Goodall's Eternal Light: A Requiem with the Cambridge Chinese Choral Society.
This summer, Patrick will join Central City Opera as an Apprentice Artist. Patrick was also an Emerging Artist with Opera Idaho during their 2021-22 season. He earned a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College and a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance and Music Education from Ithaca College.
