Rene Vazquez

René Vazquez, tenor, is a native of Spring, TX. He recently completed a Master of Music in Vocal Performance at The University of Alabama where he was a student of David Tayloe. He performed the leading tenor roles Alcina, Thérèse Raquin, The Gondoliers, and Gianni Schicchi with The University of Alabama Opera Theatre. He has also performed the role of Le Remendado in Carmen with Music on Site, Inc. and covered the role of Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor with Druid City Opera. He makes his debut with Cedar Rapids Opera for their outreach production as Mozart in Charlie and the Wolf.
