Sadie Cheslak

Mezzo-Soprano

Sadie Cheslak is a mezzo-soprano known for her dramatic mezzo and contralto sound. She won the Illinois District Laffont Competition, third prize and the Luana DeVol Prize at the 2024 SAS Performing Arts Vocal Competition, and the Most Promising Voice award at the 2024 NATS Artist Awards. Recent engagements include a Studio Artist position at Wolf Trap Opera, performing excerpts from Orphée et Eurydice. Roles include Olga Olsen in Street Scene (DePaul Opera), Florence Pike in Albert Herring (DePaul Opera), Lampito in Lysistrata (Pittsburgh Festival Opera), and Kate and Ruth (cover) in The Pirates of Penzance (Fargo Moorhead Opera). Upcoming performances include Brahms' Alto Rhapsody, The Listeners (Hortense cover) at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and joining the Merola Opera Program.
