Hailed as “opulent and rich”, Soprano Leah Podzimek’s recent roles include Liú (Turandot) with St. Petersburg Opera, Mrs. Gleaton (Susannah) with Opera Fort Collins, Fulang/Rosita (Frida Kahlo…) with Central City Opera, and Princess Dora (The Three Feathers) with Opera Steamboat. This season she will perform with Colorado’s premier new music group, The Playground
Ensemble, and return to St. Pete Opera to perform Mrs. Segstrom in A Little Night Music and cover Micaëla in Carmen. Leah received her BM in Voice Performance from Wartburg College and MA from Goldsmiths, University of London. She currently studies with Dramatic Soprano Alexandra LoBianco.
